CIE offers a comprehensive suite of provisioning, billing and call record interfaces, allowing easy integration into the OSS/BSS platforms of the operator. Diameter is supported as standard, ensuring that CIE can be deployed in emerging NGN and IMS architectures. A comprehensive record is maintained of every call, which can be accessed by the customer and queried for charging and statistical analysis. Data can be extracted into customers’ existing reporting and charging systems.

Use of standardised JAIN SLEE interfaces allows CIE to connect to any legacy and next generation signalling protocol, such as:

•    CAMEL
•    INAP

Support for common control interfaces, such as MSML and VoiceXML also enables CIE to integrate with standardised IP media servers, required for the support of interactive voice response and conferencing sessions. Depending on the capabilities of the media server, video can also be supported. In IMS networks, IP media servers fulfil the role of the Media Resource Function (MRF). CIE can connect to any standard MRF without disruption to the existing architecture. Operators and service providers can be confident that CIE can be deployed in any legacy or NGN environment – seamlessly and without disruption.
